Company history

1994: The digiCon press shop today specialises in the manufacture of CD and DVD productions; it has its roots in a company for software programming in the area of Linux and UNIX systems.
The founder and at that time manager Mr. Helge Armin Hofer has after three years newly aligned the operating business with attractive CD-ROM and CD audio business.

1999: At the end of the '90's the first CD was then produced with in-house machines - the digiCon optical disc press shop was thus born. In 2000, Mr. Hofer becomes Chairman of the Board of Management of the digiCon AG.
While at that time the digiCon shop was still a relatively small and insignificant CD producer, it has progressed in subsequent years to a medium-sized and independent press shop in Europe.

2004: In this year further investments were made - an in-house glass mastering as well as the first DVD lines of Singulus / Steag for the DVD manufacture were put in operation.
Investments were made in the area of printing and quality assurance, as well as in market leading technology, high-end offset machines of Kammann providing perfect print images.

2010: Today the digiCon AG is among the leading independent press shops in Europe. Customer orders for all circulation figures per title can be satisfied within a short time and with the highest quality. A quality management system according to DIN E ISO 9001:2008 has been in place since June 2010. An in-house Blu Ray Disc production is in planning and should be realised by 2011.
